Sorry I haven't been on for a bit but this time of year is busy for us. Most of my family live in the southern part of the state and with my sister being a nurse, it is hard for her to get time off on Christmas, so...we have our "family Christmas" a week before. Needless to say between cleaning, decorating and cooking, I have been busy. LOL Took some time tho to put together this quick page for you all. I used some elements I had made back some time ago. Thanksgiving Bits

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope you will be spending it with Family and Loved ones. We are actually having 3...yup 3 Thanksgiving meals this year(can you say Turkey overload) A church in our small town is having a community Thanksgiving Dinner tonight, then Thursday my Daughter is having Dinner around noon (the Packer/Lions game is on then) and my Son, who is a hunter is not having Dinner until about 7....So yup 3 Dinners!!! I just have to bring myself(hubby too) and then make the White Gravy at my kids meals!

It has a way of doing that, Life, I mean...just when you are sitting back thinking " this is good, bad or whatever" in the blink of an eye it changes. A phone call, email or a visit from a friend....a new baby, a wedding, and yes even a bad thing. The thing about life is what is happening now will change, it will make us smile, it will make us cry but it will change.

It has been a bit since I have been in here. Real life gets in the way sometimes. Hope you can use these two. The first one is from Psalm 46:10. Its true you know, in all the turmoil going on in our lives, if we just take a minute and listen, we will know, we will have the answers we need.
The second one well, school is starting on Thursday for my Grand kids and for one of them it is going to be the first day of 4K. His story is just beginning. There are other stories this might be good for, an engagement, wedding, birth, how about first things. Hope you find the possibilities endless and you find many uses for this one.

It really isn't ya know! Age is so relative! Oh I know our bodies might get a wee bit stiff and creaky but our heart..nope! We should always keep one part of our hearts young...one part for the time we swing on a swing with a grandchild or that water balloon fight that makes us laugh. Sunshine moments

Sorry it has been awhile, but sometimes real life gets in the way of other things. Had a few things on my plate and dealing with that, well it took a bit of time to sort thru....But I am back!!

Hope you can us this bit of thought. The sun has sure been shining around here (also the heat and humidity) I got the inspiration for this bit while watching my Granddaughter the other day, it was 93*, I was trying to find any amount of shade I could....while she and her friend were laughing and playing, running through the playground. To me the sunshine meant Hot!! To them it meant Fun!!

Can't take full credit for these words this time. It was my birthday Monday and one of the cards I received included these words. I just thought they were so true and I wanted to share them with all of you. There is a special bond that exist there. Nothing and I do mean nothing can change that! Oh sure, fights happen (I seem to recall a broken bathroom door LOL, hey I had her sweater) but underneath any disagreement there is a foundation of love, trust and a sense of, oh I guess I call it completeness. The most important thing is that these people are family, they are where you go for comfort and care and a sense of security and no matter what faults they have or what disagreements you have, they are such an important part of you and who you are. Mothers Day is this Sunday. I am a Mom, my Daughter is a Mom ..... and because of what I learned from my Mom, I think we have both done a pretty good job. Natures idea of fun

Spring is here along with all that goes with it. LOL! We have 5 dogs (I know..I know) and I keep a cloth by the back door to wipe paws, but some prints make it thru anyway. My daughter is always wiping up footprints on the steps or cleaning some amount of mud off something. But it's spring, it's fun and it's a memory!! So if you would like this one it is yours. Sorry it's been a bit since I posted. Real life sometimes gets in the way. I have been dealing with a spring cold and then my Mom had to have surgery to have a pacemaker put in. So been alittle busy at my house. I found this beautiful kit by Doro called "Tender Spring Breeze" and it is just so pretty and thought you all might like a qp. I watch my two youngest Grandchildren play, they just seem to let nothing stop them. In their world it seems they have very few limitations. In fact each day is only limited by their imagination, which is endless!! They dance thru each day, believing another one is coming, and yet they live the present one to it's fullest. Morning everyone, hope the sun is shining where you are. It is here but it is also only about 32* cold yet in northern Wisconsin Yup!!

I spent some time working with a Cs3 program yesterday and made some elements(actually I made this qp about 4 times and finally got it right) I thought I would share this one with you. Being a parent, grandparent or even a friend is something we should never take lightly. When someone comes to us with an idea ... a dream ... the worst thing we can do is tell them either with words or actions, that we are not sure they can do it. Who knows, they might not make it, but if they know we are standing there, believing with them, they will have the courage to try again at other things. It's not easy, we don't want them to fail or face disappointment, but we have to, we have to let them always know that they have someone who will always believe.

It's true .... whether a new born child, a toddler, even a brand new puppy or kitten. When we love something no matter how small and tiny they are, they fill up our whole heart! I have children, grandchildren and puppies (well they are alittle older now) but no matter how small they were when they held my hand or looked into my eyes, a space as big as the sky in my heart was filled with love. You all know that feeling right, and how do they do it??? Hope you can use this bit of words.

Your Laughter

I have Grandchildren and they were the inspiration for this bit of thought. When they are playing or watching something on TV (yes I know the theme song to a whole bunch of kids shows, doesn't everyone??) and I hear that laughter that seems to come from somewhere down deep inside, so pure and so real, well it goes straight to my heart and makes me feel so good.

If you read the post below this one you will know why if you would like this bit of mine, you have to go thru an extra step to enjoy it.

I am not a complainer, I don't spend my days whining about petty stuff. I face each day as it comes and get on with it...and then something like this happens. I take time to design bits of thoughts for you all, I take time to design my blog and add my thoughts to each post. I do this because I am hoping that it brings you a smile somewhere during your day(we can all use one of those right)

If you download from a direct link site instead of coming here or any other blog with freebies then you are encouraging things like Piracy and Hot Linking or Direct Linking. It might seem cool and easy to you but to the people who put time and effort into those designs you love it is not so cool. Have some issues with Piracy and direct linking of my wordart. There is a web site that is actually listing and making available all my bits. The web site is all-shares.com. Not just my things but others too. If you want to know if your freebies are on there just type your blog in there site search area.

Precious Laughter

You all know that sound....that look in the eyes of pure "Happy"!! Whether it is the first laugh from your child or a laugh shared between you and someone special. I watched my Grandson one day and as he was watching some show on TV, his eyes lit up and he started laughing at what they were doing, it was a laugh that came from his toes! I remember sharing an inside type joke with my Sister and the sound of her laughter was the sweetest most precious thing. I lost my sister to cancer a few years ago, but the sound of that laughter is a memory that will never go away, and I am glad! One of the best reasons for snow!! I remember as a kid, my 3 sisters and I would line up, fall backwards into the snow and make Angels. We never did get the spacing just right so our wings were kind of overlapping LOL Guess that was just the Angels way of holding hands. I have a confession to make, I am going to be 62 and when I see that fresh white snow a part of me still wants to make one! Almost time to say goodbye to another year...wow where did it go?? Someone asked if I was making any resolutions...Nope!! I used to, but gave it up. I like me pretty much the way I am and any small things that are not quite right..well.. to bad so sad, they are what make me who I am. Hubby and I will be spending New Years eve babysitting for grandchildren, one for sure, maybe more LOL So at midnight I will be listening to Auld Lang Syne, toasting with my diet Pepsi and heading off to bed (unless I am there already LOL) If you go out, please be careful, and to all of you I wish you a new year filled with lots of memories!!

First Snowfall

Have you had one yet this year? We did, it wasn't much but because it was so wet, it stuck to the trees for awhile (well at least over night) now there are just a few white spots left. This is a 7x5 quick page. Thought I would try something that if you wanted to frame you could. They make those great clear frames (walmart has them for like $1 or so) you want something without any frame border around the edges. Yup Halloween is coming. Where we lived before we always had lots of trick or treaters, but now well as my Sister says "we live in the boonies" so no little princesses or GI joes come to our door. Babies, toddlers, little children, they warm our hearts in a way that is totally unexplainable. What do we see in them? Is it a sense of hope for the future, an extension of our hopes and dreams?. No matter what you see or feel as you look at a child, know that they have a place in your heart reserved just for them and that they are a Blessing.
