The Moment

Admit it... we all have boxes of photos somewhere in a closet right. You know from before digital and you could save them to the computer or your cell phone. Moments in time. If you look at an old photo, you might see that it is fading, looking alittle rough and wrinkled....that's okay, because the memory of that moment will be forever new in your heart. I don't need a photo to remind me of the first moment I saw my Grandchild. I just have to look at him and I am right back there in that memory. Shoe boxes overflow, no more room..... but our hearts.... nope they just keep growing to hold more and more.....That my friends is a good thing!!!!

I had this one ready for a couple days now, but have been fighting a head cold.... you know the kind, runny nose watery eyes!! Nothing in my chest, just my nose!!! LOL Anyway, trying to type while your eyes and nose are dripping like you need a plumber is not fun!! But enuf of that good stuff..here is the latest qp for you all. Kyra (RDH) made this beautiful design called "Sentimental Journey" and this is the qp I came up with. memories tucked safe

Don't know about all of you,but if your like me, your heart is overflowing with bits of memories.They fill every corner and there always seems to be room for more!! Bits and pieces of life ... moments to cherish for ever. I hope this qp helps you keep one of them safe. The kit I used is called " Locked in Time " by Kyra (RDH) I used just a small portion of this wonderful design, so please pay a visit (link is on the right) and see what else it contains. We finally have weather that resembles spring LOL it will be 53 today and OMG 60 on Wednesday!! No green grass yet, just lots of brown yuck mixed with not so white snow. But that's okay...it is getting here..slowly...but it is is coming!!

A Memory

You all still have Winter at your place? We do... I am thinking August before the snow and cold go away!!! I am working on a spring quick page now and hoping that maybe that will change the weather LOL!!
For now tho, I have some bird feeders to fill and dogs to let outside ( we have 4 (yup I said 4) labs and they want out. They will want back in as soon as they feel the cold on their toes LOL!!

Kyra's newest kit called "The Forgotten Tear" is what gave me the inspiration for this qp and the wordart below. I am not sure we ever forget the tears we have cried or the reason behind them. Oh the tears may dry, and a smile might be found to take their place, but they are still there, back in that section of your heart reserved for keeping precious memories safe. Good ones and bad ones. We all have our share of both. I know I do. It's funny how a memory works, it can make you smile and shed a tear at the same time. Hope you can use this one and that the memories you have of all those precious moments bring you more smiles than tears.

Memories.... so precious and so treasured. They are filled with so many things, so many emotions...I am sure you could come up with more than I have included in this wordart. Whatever they hold, whatever they bring to mind, they are something to be held onto, kept safe. They are a part of our lives, a part of what makes us who we are and maybe even why we do the things we do (whether we know it or not) They bring to mind a feeling of a place, person or moment that is totally intangible and yet so real that our hearts swell with feelings. They are ours...no-one elses. Oh we may share a memory of something with someone else, but the two are never quite the same. I have Sisters and even tho we shared the same childhood, the same places..I am sure our memories of that time are not totally the same. Hope you can use this one. Thanks for stopping by....

Love Grows

Thanks to a beautiful kit by Lila called "Old love" I have made you a new 5x7 quick page. (Remember it will fit in those awesome borderless frames from walmart or where ever you can find them) I am going to put a photo of hubby and me from way back when we first started dating ... oh so many years ago! I will put it on the shelf and when I look at it, I will remember all the reasons we fell in love in the first place and it will make me smile, even on days when he leaves the seat up or forgets to do something I have asked. February.... the month when we become sentimental and think about loves from long ago, or old love letters tucked away. Somewhere tucked in an old shoebox is there an old photo of Christmas past? You know the one with the aluminum tree(complete with colored spot light) or the one that you got that special toy that only Santa knew you wanted, or the first Christmas after you were married or had your first child. In the rain

Remember as a kid, rain coming down and your parents telling you that you had to come inside..when all you wanted to do was run and dance in the rain drops, or walk thru the puddles. 9-11 remembered

Something so plain and simple for a moment in time that was neither. I had slept alittle later that morning and I remember my hubby calling me to come quick...I got there just in time to see the second plane hit. A sight that will stay with me and all of us for as long as we live and for always in the hearts of Americans everywhere. So although the wordart is very plain, it is filled with emotion beyond comprehension.
