Some good friends of ours have adopted a precious little boy into their family. That's where this little bit of thought comes from. It also reminds me of my daughter and son-in-law and their blended family. Or what about those special friends that you consider a part of your family? We adopted 2 children who are now teenagers. It is definitely LOVE that binds a family. They've never had interest in their birth parents, they say WE are there parents - period! And its not said with any anger or resentment - just with love!
