Found this one hiding under our tree

I shook it and it sounds like more than one thing in here !! Hope your Christmas was all you wanted it to be. Ours was quiet on the actual day but then my family from the southern part of the state came up on Friday and we had our family Christmas on Saturday.... love spending time with them all and Christmas just makes that time more special.
We got our wood stove in YIPPY!!!! So was nice and warm in the house.. still is.

There used to be an older "For Looks Only LOL" fireplace in that corner...now there is heat!!!!
Still have trim work to do, but it works and keeps most of the house (it's a 2000 sq ft open floor plan ranch) at about 72. Bedrooms a bit cooler which is fine. Hubby is tired from working overtime to get this thing but so glad we have it instead of propane bills.

The best one

Have you found your tree yet?? We tried an artificial one a couple times and all though they are beautiful and perfect....we get a real one. Love the smell and yup even the sometimes odd stick that side in the corner shape. LOL This year so far I only have an empty space where the tree will go. With construction going on in the other room, well a tree is one of the last things we will get.
Hope you can use this page, whether for the one you go cut down or the one that is ready made...which ever you have it will be the best one.... Thanks for stopping by... I am off to unbury my dining room table....somehow everything is being dumped there. LOL

More Cards

Two more cards for you all. Like I said before, I used elements from designs by some awesome ladies who had given me permission before. I only take credit for putting it together, not the original kits (Oh to be that talented) So are you getting Christmas stuff done?....I have one yup one decoration up and it is in the bathroom!! LOL We are in the process of tearing out our fireplace to put in a freestanding wood stove so the rest of the house is, well lets just say no where near ready to decorate LOL (it is a remodeling mess actually) But this will pass and the heat from this stove should make it all worth it!!

Number 1...No peeking

As promised I have wrapped some early Christmas presents for you all. They won't show up everyday, so keep checking back. The "presents" were all made using various kits by designers who had given me permission to use the kits before. Hope you enjoy....

I have for you early Christmas card senders (LOL) the first of some cards I made. I used some designs by Kyra from last year to put these together. If this is your first time using these the directions are easy...just treat this the same as you would a qp , add your photos , save as jpeg. I have a photo of what these look like when I am ready to print...

Pay close attention to the yellow areas...yes they should be done on glossy paper, they look much better. Any message you want to add can be written on the back of the card. They fit in a business size envelope. If you want you can get fancy and purchase the envelopes in a Christmas design you could,,,me I am all for saving money, especially this time of year.  I am working on more and will try to have them up in the morning for you.

Christmas in August

You have all heard of Christmas in July right?? Well this is Christmas in August!!! I found a kit by the designer Molemina called "White Christmas" (In case ya all didn't know....I love Christmas!!!! So anyway, I made up this qp and asked her if I could share with all you....She said YES!!! I am so thankful to the designers who graciously and generously let me play with their designs. Wrapped in memories...

A beautiful new design by Kyra (RDH) called "Cool and Chic Christmas" is what I used for this quick page. Not a lot of red in this, but I think that's what makes it so pretty. Hope you can find a spot for it.
We had our "Family" Christmas this past weekend and it was good, it was interesting....it was family!! We will be going by our Daughter and her family Christmas Eve and then my Son and his family will be here Christmas Day. Good thing I love Christmas because here it seems to last the whole month LOL.
Well I am off to finish some wrapping and then some laundry (seems that housework does not take a Christmas break)

Most wonderful time

Another beautiful Christmas kit from Kyra called " Christmas Splendour" Hope you can use the qp I made for you all. This really is the most wonderful time of the year ya know. It isn't just the gifts under the tree, but the gift we were all given long ago in a stable. A gift of Hope and Joy and Blessings beyond measure. This is a time with families and loved ones, and even wonderful memories of those who are not here but still and always in our hearts. My family will be here Thursday night and we will have our "Christmas" on Saturday. They live in the southern part of our state and with my one sister being a nurse, well it's hard for her to always get the time off. It will be a hectic, laughter and smiled filled weekend and I will be loving every minute of it!!

Awhile back I downloaded a free version of a photoshop program that let me make my own elements. I had grand visions of making and designing my own kits.....needless to say that did not happen!! But in going thru some old files I found some elements that I had made. So I made a quick page for you all. I hope you like it (you will not hurt my feelings if you don't, as I am no where as good as the designers out there) The little bub is my Grandson Sam, and yup Joy covers it completely!!

Early Chrismas Present

I have been working on Christmas cards again this year. This is one of my first tries. I think if you just click on the image and save, you should have it. Ping format and then you can add your own photo to it. I used a kit called "Stylish Christmas" by RDH. I will be adding more as I get them done.
Make sure you use glossy paper to print them. They fit in a reg. business size envelope.

So are you all ready for Christmas? We had our traditional Family Christmas a week ago (work schedules don't allow my whole family to get together on Christmas) and now on Christmas eve we will be at my daughters then Christmas Day our son and his family come over. LOL Christmas never seems to stop around here....which is fine by me!!

Pure Joy

Not your typical colors for Christmas but beautiful just the same. Kyra (RDH) made this kit called "Christmas is Harmony" and the elements and papers are so pretty. Check out her blog, link is over on the right, she has so many kits to choose from. (Make sure to leave her a Thank you) Hope you can use this one...I saw the colors and thought of using it for some outdoor photos I have of the kids playing in the snow. Enjoy!!

Stylish Christmas Memory

Oh I am so far behind!!! Kyra has made you all so many beautiful kits and I have not been able to get some quick pages done for you until now. Life snuck in and things had to be done. My family lives in the southern part of the state and my one sister is a nurse,so getting together on the exact day of Christmas is always hard. We have it early WooHoo!! But that also means that I am one busy lady. Every thing has to be done at least a week to two weeks ahead. Our family Christmas this year is the 13th thru the 16th. Yup house guest for a few days, BUT I love it!!! The tree is up and done, groceries bought, presents(almost)done. lol and now on to important things like freebies for all of you. This is one of Kyra's new kits called "A Stylish Christmas" check out her blog, link over ther on the right (RDH) She is offering so many beautiful creations for you all.

Jolly Jingle Bells

Yup more cards for you. Kyra at RDH sent me some previews of Christmas kits she has been working on and has allowed me to make some cards for you all..... the kits well, you will have to wait until Kyra releases them... keep checking her blog (the link is over on the right) Can you tell I love Christmas, oh yes. These two cards have very special meaning to me...Holy Night, well it involves my two sisters and a shower. (some day I will explain) LOL the Jolly Jingle Bells, well one Christmas I started saying that when I answered the phone and it just sort of stuck!!  Hope you can use these. I have included a short instruction sheet, and don't forget to print them on glossy photo paper. Christmas cards..Yup

I love Christmas!!!!!!!! Who doesn't? This time of year I have a secret desire to start going thru the stored away boxes and start putting a few decorations out. I know nuts huh? Anyway, I decided to try making cards this year. Took me awhile to get the size right and to print them the right way...But they turned out pretty good. In the file you will download, there will be a screen shot of what my printer screen looked like when I printed them. Biggest thing is the area marked in yellow. These measure 3 3/4x8 so they fit in a reg business size envelope (you can get fancy and go to the stationary store and buy red and green if you'd like) Print them on glossy paper and be ready to be amazed..I was LOL
I will be adding more (Kyra is making a new Christmas kit, these are from her kits from last year)
