Summer Memory

Summer... it's not that far off is it?? I was going thru some photos from this past summer and decided to use a design by Lilas called "Summer Day" to make this qp. While sitting here looking at snow and cold temperatures, well this did help to warm me up LOL.

This is the page I made. I used two of my Grandkids .... Bikes yup that's a big part of summer for Sam and Softball well that's Miss Keira.

Watertime

I know I have used this word art before, but it's still summer and lakes and beaches are still being visited right??!! Not here though I am sad to say... we have been busy cutting wood and getting ready for winter. I know hard to understand when the temp is 85* but winter here in northern Wisconsin can be oh so cold (last year was oh so bad) we went thru all our wood and so we had to start filling up the wood racks while we could. We used our fireplace alot (it is great to look at but unless you are 12 inches from it, it doesn't do much for heat) this year we are going to try and get a free standing wood stove for the house... we will see.
I used Kyra's kit "at the beach" for this qp. Hope you like and find that perfect photo for it. Kyra (RDH) had some computer problems, but keep checking, I am hope she is back soon.

Sand between your toes

Sorry I haven't been around for a bit... been dealing with a pretty bad sinus infection and between that and the warm muggy weather it has not been a great time. But hey.... it's summer and life is good right!!! We didn't live near a sandy ocean beach while growing up, we had lakes. The feeling from the sand was the same tho, meant we had had an awesome time!! Hope this bit brings back some memories and that you find a special place for it. Take care and thanks for stopping by.

Today, Memorial Day, is the official start of summer. I went thru some of my older posts and found this one. If you already have it... thank you for downloading it and if not... well enjoy! We have to wait a bit at our house for food grilled outdoors, our grill died last summer and we have to get a new one. Brats and burgers just do not taste the same when cooked in a frying pan LOL

Tans fade

Getting to be that time of year when we start putting away the bits of summer....if you have a summer cottage, it is being closed up, the pool is being cleaned and covered, beach balls and sun screen put back on the shelf till next time. Even that summer tan is starting to look a bit off....but the memories...oh no they will be in your heart forever. Hope this bit of thought helps you to always remember those special days and times. Early morning gathering

I put this one together a while back using a kit from RDH (Kyra) called "Early Morning" Love this kit! We have some flowering plants that grow outside my computer room window and the butterflies love them. They only bloom during the month of August and then they start to die off...but during that month...OMG the Monarchs are awesome. So when I saw this kit I knew it was the right one. By the way, that's the thing about Kyra's kits....they always seem to be just what your looking for...so please go take a peek, the link is over there on the right, you will not be sorry!

Sunshine moments

Sorry it has been awhile, but sometimes real life gets in the way of other things. Had a few things on my plate and dealing with that, well it took a bit of time to sort thru....But I am back!!

Hope you can us this bit of thought. The sun has sure been shining around here (also the heat and humidity) I got the inspiration for this bit while watching my Granddaughter the other day, it was 93*, I was trying to find any amount of shade I could....while she and her friend were laughing and playing, running through the playground. To me the sunshine meant Hot!! To them it meant Fun!!

I wish I could remember where I got this background paper. I had downloaded it and saved it to a disc a few years ago when I first started scrapping. I was going thru some stuff (to clean up) and when I saw this I couldn't believe I had never used it!! So yesterday I played with it and today you get to play! Hope you enjoy!

Summer Memories
